King of the Grill was a one-hour reality TV show that followed Ritch, Mike, Kirk, Zeeman and the Gator Pit of Texas crew as they showed off their unique skills at building custom BBQ pits.

 

The centerpiece of the show was a one-of-a-kind space shuttle BBQ pit for Galactic Coast Brewing, a Houston-area microbrewery.  21 feet long, the space shuttle pit features triple beer taps, a 24"x48" main cooking chamber and, most impressively, triple flamethrowers located inside the engine nozzles.  Each flamethrower is a 2,000,000 BTU dual-feed burner that can create a 20' flame.

The show also followed the Gator Pit of Texas crew as they cooked up their best BBQ for the 4th of July.  Brisket, ribs, chicken, a whole hog, and Zeeman's special bacon-wrapped seafood stuffed gator were served up under a world-class fireworks display.
