Houston visit
« on: August 17, 2016, 08:13:13 AM »
My wife and I will be visiting Houston Aug 31 thru Sep 7. We will be attending the Sep 3 season opening game between OU and Houston. I know there is a Houston fan or two that read this board, looking forward to the game. I'm also crossing my fingers hoping that Houston will join the Big 12. I believe HU will be a great addition to the conference.

We're also making a point to stop for a visit. I'd like to see where my pit was born. The plan is to stop by on the 1st either coming or going to Lockhart to try one of the joints in that Texas BBQ Mecca. Looking forward to seeing your shop.

So until then, Boomer Sooner! {yes]%3

Here is at least one UH fan. Should be a great game.

If you are looking for some bbq while you are down try to make it by Killen's in Pearland. It's on the same side of town as NRG stadium so it's not that far out of the way. I'd offer to bring you some to the game but I had knee surgery so I'm having to sit this one out and watch on TV.

Killen's has opened several BBQ stands at NRG Stadium and is apparently smoking onsite, so you may not have to trek down to Pearland if you don't want to.  Now Ronnie Killen just needs to get with the program and switch to Gator Pits!

Enjoy your trip here!
