Make sure you trim any silver skin and fat off of the meat. Season with your favorite seasoning and grill over direct heat until done to your taste. Cut accross the grain on the bias.

Something we like to do is cut the flank steak in 1/4 inch strips, then marinate or season to your taste for about 30 to 60 minutes.  Then weave the strips of meat on a skewer and grill at a high temperature, turning once.  Serve over a bed of rice.  Pretty tasty.

Like Zilla said, cut across the grain.  I like to cut the meat when it is partially frozen.  Be careful not to marinate too long as flank steak is pretty "porus" and takes up the marinade quickly.  If you leave it too long, the marinade can over power the meat.
