Addons to rig
« on: January 07, 2007, 12:00:29 AM »
Not new to forums. Just never posted here. Well just to let you know after many months of reading and research took a trip to Houston.

Well Ritch Hooked me up:

Ordered a mobile rig , 30 x 24 with upright  - gas assist. Added grill on the back side part gas and part for charwood 5' dual clean out doors. Doing away with wood storage.

SO the first order I think will be to add a rack up front like the carry rack that attach to receivers. I have 4 boxes that would attach nice.

Open for suggestions.

well first, i need to remember my manners and welcome you to the forum.

secondly, did you say a 30" by 24"??  to me (at least) that means a 30" diameter horizontal that's 2 ft. long.  not to say ritch wouldn't build you one, but it would definitely be the only one like it around these parts...........

Not-to-Hot.....Congratulation on your new Pit order!  T-up  You're going to love your new Gator Pit.   You made the right choice and if you have any questions, fire away and we'll be glad to assist.

I would recommend full length front shelve that is 14 inches wide if your budget can afford it.   Paper towel and tool holders on the shelve also come in hande.

Yes it is differant. Because they have not built this one. It is actually a modification to a custom that was on the lot.

OK it is a 1/4 " X 24" X 36" with a 24" X 36" upright. The change to the one sitting on the lot is the 1/4" X 24" X 60" long grill divided  with one side gas and the other for charcoal Seperator only in bottom.

Will get into the why the specifics later.

I think we have to come up with a name for this one and only.

Next step is to build a home in back yard  for this.  I like Zillia's pad,  but have to remember this is a mobile.

Carnivore - The wait is killing me. Now I had to do that with both my kids. I knew from the actual day. Thats what happens when you go to a Fertility doctor. They all turned out fine. So the wait is almost the same feeling.  Now for a little history since I am cooking in a tin can as you can see on my tag line. I started cooking heavy after having heart surgery nothing bad just blockage. Log story shorten I cook for my daughters drill team. That includes hosting two concession stands at the Cowboys stadium. So the cook started last year they said they served 80 pounds of BBQ. From that info I cooked 12 pork butts well to say the least it only lasted the first day. Planning on more next year. The next event was a craft fair cooking 400 hamburgers and hot dogs. Not to mention the Drill team gets feed every game. Got love Texas football.

So all that practice over the last year has paid off cooking every weekend from meat loafs, hams, ribs, briskets, butts.

Oh don't let me forget the 1000 pumpkin rolls.  (not on the grill)

Next year events:

Family picnic (200 attending)
3 Competitions
weekly football games
Concessions 1 big event 2 days
Craft bazaar 2 days

Just a little history into my recent order.  This is my toy that will find its home somewhere in my back yard.
